Padel’s Momentum in North America: The Sport on the Rise!

Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights from

ing the growing enthusiasm for padel in North America. Additionally, find some exciting news about our Canadian padel community!

America’s Racket Week showcased Miami’s growing enthusiasm for padel through a series of high-profile events. The centerpiece included the Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Premier Padel P1 tournament, Racquet X, and Property + Padel, bringing together industry leaders and sports enthusiasts to celebrate the expanding world of racket sports.

Miami Premier Padel P1 tournament at the Miami Beach Convention Center, marked the sport's inaugural Premier Padel event in the United States.  In the men's category, the duo of Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán clinched the title against top rivals such as the powerful pairing of Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebron. On the women’s side, Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea claimed the women’s title, marking their third consecutive win. The event showcased the growing popularity of padel in the U.S. and provided a platform for exciting matches, high-level competition, and the sport’s continued expansion.

The matches showcased incredible skill and passion, solidifying the tournament’s status as a key event for padel in the U.S.

Complementing this week, Property + Padel held its second USA edition on March 20, bringing together key figures from the real estate and sports industries at Padel X, right in the heart of Downtown Miami. The event served as an excellent platform to explore the future of padel in the U.S. market, featuring insights from industry leaders and experts in technology, infrastructure, and the sport itself.

In the weeks leading up to the event, PadelGo and Property + Padel ran an exclusive giveaway, offering a Siux Electra Pro Franco Stupa 2025 as the grand prize! The winner was announced on March 20, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

A major takeaway from the discussions was the need to think beyond just building courts. For padel to achieve sustainable growth in the USA and Canada, it’s essential to develop a full ecosystem that includes technology, innovative products, and a strong supply chain. Equally important is fostering a strong padel community among players, with clubs serving as social hubs that promote connection, wellness, and an inclusive sporting culture.

PadelGo Canada was proud to contribute to this event as a Silver Sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to the sport’s expansion in North America.

Racquet X, a world-class festival celebrating all racquet sports, took place from March 22 to 24, 2025. This event united over 5,000 attendees, including industry leaders, players, and enthusiasts, to explore innovations across sports like squash, tennis, pickleball, and padel. RacquetX featured conferences, exhibitions, and on-court activities, fostering collaboration and growth within the racquet sports community.

Final Stop: The Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium

We wrapped up the week at the Miami Open venue with an exclusive padel activation for media on-site. In 2025, the tournament is elevating its appeal by introducing padel courts through a partnership with Padel Lux at Ultra Park. This marks the sport’s debut at the prestigious event, bringing state-of-the-art courts open to players of all levels.

The addition of padel—one of the fastest-growing sports—highlights its rising popularity in North America, particularly in Florida. This integration not only enhances the Miami Open’s world-class tennis experience but also reinforces its status as a premier sporting and entertainment destination.
